Domaine des Billards (Héritiers Loron)
Saint-Amour Gamay
2015 vintage. Seriously structured juice with a lot of black fruit that I believe would shine even more with a little less extraction as the tannin tends to overwhelm the fruit.

Nov 28th, 2017Pretty, but either needs a bit more age to gain interest, or never had it to begin with.

May 30th, 2017Totally transformed with food. Went from boring to wow after the first bite (of broccoli nonetheless)! A cru Beaujolais (from one of the 10 towns that makes great wine!) this St-Amour is light, with red fruit and a mineral bite. Fabulous with lighter food. Gotta love a food wine!

Jun 21st, 2015Good wine classic red fruit and earthy palate. Flawless but doesn’t have a lot of spirit, this wine is like the Tony Romo of gamay.

Apr 3rd, 2018Great post Korean dinner wine - nice acid but a little more umph than your average beaujolais. Pleasantly satisfying.
