Sooo good... Waxy Chenin and nutty fruit abound. Acid holding up nicely.

Opening this was our version of a “brilliant mistake”. Have a few of these in my cellar and @ADAM STROMFELD said pull it, it’s probably gone! So much for that. Absolutely no signs of oxidation. A baby at 15 years. This not only has another 15, it most likely has another 30 years ahead. Fresh honeycomb, dried apricot simmered in Sauternes, earthy minerals, hints of Burgundian washed rind cheese, dried golden berries, fresh baguette, dried pineapple, marzipan. Really nice acidity and lingering finish. So complex and just getting started. Love what really good chenin can do. Was even better on day 2 (pushing 9.6 for me) Looking forward to opening another bottle at my retirement party!
