1st note is this was NOT at all what I think of as a stereotypical Chateauneuf-du-pape - but thought it was great with with the steak we had. Am bad with descriptions but - Full bodied with a surprising slight sweetness (lingon/boysenberry?). Very nice will get another bottle - hard to describe but well worth it

Medium opaque color with black cherry aromas. Earthy under forest notes but no barnyard aromas. In the moth rich flavors of red fruits with good balance and aftertaste. Alcohol is in balance with the fruit. Will be interesting in 5 years.
