Domaine de Trévallon
Rouge Vin de Pays des Bouches-du-Rhône Cabernet-Syrah Blend
First bottle of Trévallon in several years. Forgot how wild and exciting this can be. Blending these two varietals seems to be about creating the biggest wine possible for many producers. Not here though; brisk and energetic.

Jan 31st, 2024Interesting Provence Rouge.
Prune, dark cherry, blackcurrant, smooth oak with star anise, licorice or cinnamon. Fun overripen characters even in young vintages, but I look forward to 5~10 years later.

May 24th, 20202nd time trying this bottle; this time to celebrate the birth of my baby boy. So delicious and soulful, lots of rustic charm. Definitely needs several hours to open up so waited til day 2 to drink most of the bottle and once again it opens up beautifully. Rich plum, tobacco, earth, gravel. Love it.
