Domaine de Saint Pierre
Le Dos D'Chat Trousseau
Light bodied, with beautiful bricking color, and almost a deep leather/brown at the core. The nose is starting to open up after an hour of open bottle, with notes of tart red fruit and roses, with a slightly dusky funk. Palate is definitely full of fruit, with strawberry, plum, ripe red cherries and a zingy acidity that tingles for a while after the first big sip leading to a pleasant dry, slightly smoky finish.

Dec 21st, 2023Earthy but still light. Drank with grilled scallops and people who thought they didn’t like scallops but turns out they do. Why do I keep drinking dog wines and I’m a cat person? A lot to think about with this wine.
