This wine gets better and better as the tannins mellow and more tertiary notes emerge. Black cherry, strawberry, violet, leather, wild lavender, wild thyme, with a solid foundation of earthy leather and dried leaves.

Very Grenache-driven with strawberry, raspberry, leather, tar, violet, wet stone, blackberry and anise. Good depth, lacking just a bit of acidity but otherwise a joy to drink with or without food

Nose: intense right out the bottle - cranberries, moist leaves, mud, pine needles, cherries, some notes of stewed plums and a little funkiness, like a good hard cheese.
Tongue: explosive, dark and beautiful. The stewed plums are more prominent on the first sip, as is the cheesy funkiness. The structure is just perfect and the acid assertive. It needs to be to stand up to the bold fruit flavors. It tastes a little hot, but not so much that it flies out of balance. A really delicious wine that is drinking perfectly in May 2023.

December 2020. Last Bottle purchase. Lovely Rhône blend 65% Grenache, 35% Syrah. Red berries, leather and a bit of spice. Good now, probably better in a couple years. Good thing I have several more bottles. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
