Tale of a Perfect 10: electric soy and black olive mashup, suggestive garrigue and sexpot violet, brown sugar swizzle stick and incomprehensible herbal-vanilla wafer-anise love child. Then it gets interesting: espresso and tobacco leaf, cocoa nib, cola and cool. Or is that sassafras?? Pink peppercorn, portobello and candied pomegranate. Handstands. Hell yes. Thank you. 🙏

Dark orange brown with orange edge. Nose of dried figs. Complex flavors of dried blueberries, raspberries, raisons, red apple skins. Good acid results in juicy finish. Tannins are soft.
Overall, a very good CNP that is passing it's prime so drink now.

Amazingly complex wine with mushrooms, forest floor, moss, mold, and flowers on the nose. Refined tannins, red fruit, and fresh minerality on the palate. Love this one.

Got some blue cheese funk to it. Interesting but need to open up quite a bit. Can't say I'd buy again.

2/3 Grenache with remaining cuvée made up of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Moist soil nose, dark fruit on palate, and good tannins. An interesting wine and probably only my second or third Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

Crushed red berries on the nose, hints of ripe plum, cherries and walnut. Smooth taste with a bright finish. Pairs well with cheese and grapes.

Earthy, moldy, ugh. Serve this to your in-laws.

So smooth and earthy - would buy again in a heartbeat!
