Dinner wine after tasting. Mineral. Leafy. Not a lot of fruit. Lean.

Elegant, balanced and complex with still prevalent acid. Notes of red cherries, a bit of earth and silky tannins

Classic, classic, classic. Laser focus, red fruit, Brett, mineral, fresh tannins, old school representation of my favorite burgundy region

One of my favorite wines, both because it taste great and what they stand for. I just love the strong commitment to a classic conception of balance and place.

A legendary winemaker showing all of his skills. Still ripe but nervous acid; firm tannin but layers of silk. One more in the cellar that will have to wait another five years.

Solid Volnay style .. Tough year and it shows. Muted fruit and limited depth. The 97' showed mature red/black raspberry but a limited finish. Hoped for more, I think it may just be past it's prime.
