Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of raspberries, black cherries, and smoke; on the palate, it's dry, with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of lavender, strawberry jam, and fresh asphalt with a medium finish. This wine is intense and complex, but a little off balanced due to the bitter asphalt flavor. Overall, I rate this wine as good. I think it would be better after a few more years in the bottle or after a good decant.

Bright plum & deep blackberry. Good value but tastes young and grape juice-y. Almost nonexistent tannins.
