Montferrand Roussanne

Whoa Nellie-aside from fact that Roussanne is not part of my even yearly rotation, let alone white Languedoc wine, this bowled us over with its packed flavors, freshness, acidic backbone, & layers-guessing you could lay it down for 3-5 yrs if not longer. Hay, subtle lanolin ( think Chenin), white flowers. Modest viscosity, pale yellow hue. Very impressive. Hand Picked imports.

Nice fruit, oily crisp

Honey, bananas, pears, rooibos tea, flowers. Apples

Lemon lime. Citrus. Pear on the finish. Yum.

Wonderful example. Bright citrus, melon on the nose. Silky and savory. Lots of lemon and pear. Quite a deal at $17.

Blind smell, I'd guess a wheel of Brie. Cheese rind, faint fruit. Wow. Tastes like ...richness, oil, melon, tropical. The contrast between the nose and the taste is interesting. I love it.

Toasty notes tropical fruits and citrus on the nose. Green crisp pear, lemon curd, pineapple and a bit of salinity. Minerality is present. Full, rich mouthfeel. An awesome value!

Hits tongue with nice fizz and then sweet grape flavor and goes down smooth
