The mid palette is robbed of weight and texture. Comes across as light, with vegetal overtones. Very expensive for what it is.
4/7 update - I applied the tasting note from the Nuit St George to the Beaune. Now corrected. In my opinion, the Beaune is a pass.

Enjoyable on the palate with a long finish - advanced fruit suggest downhill slide, yet tannins have good if somewhat powdery grip. Late breaking: evolving into a bacon fat extravaganza in the glass and weirdly cherry fruit is brightening May have prejudged as a less profound wine...
