Fresh, green, pyrazine-loaded nose; very high acids, tart white and yellow fruits, and a spicy long-lasting grassy finish.

Thanksgiving wine #2 - A red Sancerre from Pinot noir - haven't tried this yet - anyone else had this?

So disappointed. 2013 is turning out to be the last good Sancerre vintage. Less green than 2014 but not as pretty as 2013. Save your money and purchase New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Maybe 2016 will be the year.

2014. The year of jalapeño in Sancerre. If it wasn't for the minerality I would have called new world on this one. Second Sancerre I have from this year that screams jalapeño.

Clear, young, pale yellow with hint of green, medium viscosity; nose is typical ("caricatural" SB) grapefruity limey with nettle-leaves; very high acid rich dry full on the palate with unripe green apples and a long finish dominated by grapefruit and salivating acids.
