Sipping Fine Wine

Domaine rests atop a limestone plateau in Le Brûlat du Castellet, in the northwestern corner of the A.O.C. Bandol. Hocquard family has been farming this land since 1968, currently run by Agnès Henry. A blend of about 75% Mourvèdre with the rest Grenache, Cinsault & Carignan. Deep red with dark berry fruit and spice aromas. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black pepper & herb spice. Fine tannins, lingering with a fragrant ending.

One of the best restaurant list values I’ve found! Classic Bandol! Earthy, floral nose with dark cherries and cedar. Medium plus depth. Lovely!

Great wine list value. Similar to DTB. Smoky, dark fruit, leather, and earth. Round wine with a lovely texture and finish. Age treated this well.

Peppery, deep, berries fruit, with dried herbaceous notes. Super elegant for 2015, with a fresh, lively texture. Crazy to think these could be aged when they are so good to pop open right now.
