Marey-Monge Romanée-St. Vivant Pinot Noir

A little shifty aromatically did clam down with air gobs of sweet generous fruit on the palate very lush and liquor like.

Off bottle... poor storage?

Breathtaking, transcendant and pure, the 1999 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-St.-Vivant is a woven tapestry of raspberries, cinnamon bark and fresh pastry, along with subtle touches of earth, underbrush, and lilting minerality. More diaphanous than the '99 La Tâche or Richebourg, the words that this wine conjures are vibrant, ethereal, fine-boned and mineral-edged. This is Pinot Noir at it's most nuanced expression. *tasted June 5, 2015

Complex, ripe, dark and lazed with minerality, bitter chocolate and underbrush. Spicy, elegant, still tannic finish. Give it a few more years.

This is a beautifull wine, but 99 need a lot more time, we were still on the alcohol. Give him an other 5 years and this baby will become a bomb!

Great vintage for this wine with soaring aromatics that needed air showing power & finesse with a melange of dark fruits & spice.

Stunning wine that is rich, balanced & densely structured with perfumed aromatics of black fruits, vosne spice & violets that soars out of the glass.

Yum. Dark powerful goodness. Sugar and spice and everything nice. Rich vintage, even by their stajdards. Still enough heft to balance it out. Great acidity.
