What an amazing wine...still very young, initial smell is earth, spice, cut mushrooms, stony and red tart/ripe cherries...coats palate from beginning to end. Acid just holds it taut and nervy all the way thru. Opened up even more as the nite went on..paired with charcuterie...on point and delivered as legend says..

The commune we have all been waiting for at the Grand Cru 2015 Burgundy tasting - Vosne Romanee. To reiterate these are tasted blind with the identity known but the order of serving unknown. My notes - Nose of Violets and Roses. Polished and refined. Some Spiciness. If Vosne Romanee is not the best Commune I don’t know what is”. In this warmer year I love Jancis’s note “ Sensual rather than cerebral “. It will become more Cerebral in about :30 years time!! On discovering its identity I thought that figures! Magnificent!
