I'm sorry my buddies from NJ were not with me to enjoy this amazing bottle. Special thanks to my host for sharing this bottle. Although, still a baby, truly an intoxicating nose with intense red fruit, spice, forest floor, mocha. Perfectly balanced and structured with an amazing finish.

Just a baby, but thanks to generous friends, got to try this. Very tight, but opens to complex earthy aromas and lots of fruit. Impressive structure and lots of potential. #drc #bucketlistwine

Holy crap this is really quite incredible. Unclear I’d be excited to pay the current price, but I’m not sure I’ve had a wine with a longer finish. So delicious with so much deep fruit and earth all balanced by great acid and a crazy long finish. Still going even a couple minutes later. Really something.

This 2005 will transport you back to a more simple time, a time when wine was an art, and each grape was hand picked with love. After a nice decanting the room was overwhelming with the fine aroma, and the occupants were drooling to taste this fine beverage which was so apparently handed down to us from the gods.
From the first sip you will be overtaken by sheer euphoria, the complex levels of grape juice flavors are like none other. This wine was paired with a fine cheese it, the dry salty taste helped to bring out all the astringency. The after notes were as pleasant as a fine autumn afternoon. The care free attitude of this wine is only more enhanced by the structure which is elaborate and ornate. This wine would be a fine addition to any collection, or a perfect bottle for a special occasion. This wine has been called the Lou Gehrig of reds, it will never walk again but we will all remember the name. Drink responsibly.
