The 1995 La Tâche Grand Cru is an outstanding wine from a decade when I don't think the Domaine was firing on all cylinders. This echoes the magnum tasted last year with those ebullient red cherries and crushed strawberry scents on the nose. As you might expect from the bottle format, it's a little more open and evolved than the magnum. The palate is beautifully balanced with fine-boned tannins, with a dash of white pepper sprinkled over the millefeuille of red fruit. It's delineated and poised towards the finish, so much so that you almost don't notice its structure. Sublime. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

What an extraordinary nose. Wild strawberry, violets, cherry pop, plums, mushrooms. This is enchanting and dynamic. On the palate light and subtle. Delicate., quite haunting with a pretty spring sweetness. This is lovely.

May 23rd, 2024This is sooo pretty. Light pink in color, the nose is so seductive. Pretty floral notes, cherry, dried flowers. Wildly complex and intense on the nose but so light and ethereal. The palate is lifted and pretty with raspberry, delicate spice and classic vosne flavors. This wine is so poised and pretty and ready to drink. Light but powerful. Fantastic

Dark, deep tawny color. Translucent. Funky nose. Notes of red fruit, sandalwood, rhubarb, sweet candied cherries and some cured meat. Nice mouth feel, but maybe a little thin? Clearly from a high end producer, I guessed 90 Dujac CSD.

Gorgeous. Dark plum, lifted notes, zippy balanced acidity. Stems and a slightly herbal notes. Really complex and gorgeous. Persistent fruit. Wow. Very DRC. Time ahead

Oct 28th, 2022Tasted blind. Dark tawny color. Sweet, candied fruit nose with notes of dark raspberries, some spice, some mocha, some gravel stone and a little soy sauce. In the mouth, there is a dryness to it when compared to the great nose and smells this gives off. Very masculine. Punches you in the face. Guessed 89 Rousseau Clos de Beze. Great juice!
