Sep 19th, 2014Super concentratd. Opened with blueberry blackberry and violet floral notes. Turned into more leather, mineral and salty with more air. Big heavy wine yet astonishinly balanced.

Came in a close second in my WOTN in the blind tasting. Raspberry, Mocha and blackberry delight. I had guessed new world because it was so fruit forward. I can't even imagine this wine in 10 years. It could mature to perfection.

The unicorn of CDP. Something like 100 cases made and a lot less imported. This is amazing stuff. So multidimensional that it's probably 3 wines in one. Decanted for 8 hours and was killer. Dark Chocolate, dark cherry, twinge of maple and smoke... This is either a dead ringer 98-100pt wine or you don't finish it. I'll take the rest... Amazing.
