Typical nose of licorice. Very powerful, lot of spices and long finish. Great for an “ordinary” chateauneuf.

Licorice root, garrigue, menthol and so much deep purple fruit you will think you hear Smoke on the Water coming from the glass. Merci monsieur Sabon. 2010 was definitely the high water mark for Janasse.

Still backward but great promise. Hold for 3 more years.

Maybe a bit much but for the high octane this stays pretty well-balanced. Tasty for sure

Wow! Powerful and rich. Black fruit, leather, forest floor, sage crushed clay and mulberry. Tannins and acid on finish. This is infanticide but with air it's working.

Modern compared to the Pegau in it’s fruit profile. Probably better if I had it on its own.

Für Freunde des du Pape sicher höher zu bewerten, dekantieren (enormer Satz in der Flasche), karaffieren, Temperatur im unteren Bereich, dann durchaus feiner Stoff, in 10 Jahren nochmal anschauen
