A dirt cheap Southern Rhone wine, made primarily from the Marselan grape, which is a hybrid of Cabernet and Grenache. Dark color, and with big aromas of bakers chocolate and dark blackberry, and earth. Gutsy straightforward flavors: cassis and blackberry. Lots of puckery tannins. A hard-working blue collar wine.

Dark garnet color, rustic earthy dark red fruits and a hint of menthol heat on nose, spice barnyard earth and dust firm texture and long finish. Interesting profile. Vin dPay, Marselan first encounter of this Southern Rhine cross. 14.5 ABV JR 12 value offer! Added very nicely, full of fine sediment.

Almost black. Great nose. Kind of rustic and raw, but very enjoyable.
