Well…it was bound to happen. When you put this many examples of largely non-interventionalist winemaking into a line-up. The odds are favorable that one will be all wrong. Tonight, it was this bottle of 2019 Domaine de la Grand’Cour, Fleurie, “Clos de la Grand’Cour” by Jean-Louis Dutraive. Unfortunately, this was a freaking gerbil cage…as bad as I’ve ever encountered and there was nothing redeeming about it. Drain-pour and a huge bummer.

Usually a favorite. Off bottle, or rough vintage?

Dutraive usually a favorite. Time has not be kind to this wine. No fruit just Bacteria?

Bottle tasted corked. Wasn’t for us. Will give it another try.
