Lugged from Vouvray, through Charles de Gaulle security, and stashed away for a few patient years, what a joy to see this thing through to the end.

Singing today like a deep, nuanced cup of tea - metallic, jasmine perfumes, orange marmalade, wool, honey, rubber ball, with texture and acid and all the life I was worried would dissolve after 22 years.

Cooked, spiced fruit and honey, fully baked, like a good Chenin need be.
