Domaine de la Côte de l'Ange
Vieilles Vignes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grenache Blend
Ouch...was awfully tight out of the bottle. Needed time to open up and was worth the wait. Wonderful balance and structure. More time in the bottle would yield some really good funk.

Jun 5th, 2021Classic CDP. 65 grenache, 20 syrah, 10 mourvedre, 5 cinsault. A little thin on the nose. Solid balance on the palate. On its own, this is solid. But with food, especially spicy food, this really shines.

Dec 28th, 2020This is a great example of cndp however I opened this about 10/15 years to early, this vintage smacked me in the face with rich dark fruit and spice, decant and leave for some time to truly enjoy if your drinking it early!!!

Feb 23rd, 2018Moderate ruby color in the glass. Dried cherry, red licorice, smoked meat, and garrigue evident on the nose. Like many ‘11 CdP’s, a bit lighter on the palate but still with nice red fruit, pleasant minerality, and just a hint of tannin. Blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and 5% Cinsault from 80 year-old vines. 15% alcohol.
