Better than the first bottle several months ago. Still a strange lack of the expected peppery aromas. Woody aroma likely stem inclusion since wine is SS aged.

Dusty, minerals, and a bit gritty. Muted, cooked fruit that had difficulty breaking through the dust. None of the trademark pyrazine a Cab Franc should be showing. Just ok.

The Cabernet Franc was extremely tame. You had to look for the pyrazines. Delicate body, mildly aromatic. Acidity med, finish med.

Deep cherry red with transparent edge. Complex aroma includeds black fruits, forest flower. Leather. A bit elegant. Rounded, good to drink. With acidity. 2nd day. Much better. Smoky, coffee flavor. domaine de la colline chinon 15 @3300, F, 240908-240913

Dark ruby color. Aromas of earth, Forrest Floor, violets, rose hips and dried herbs. Pallet is full of black fruit with a hint of leather. Little, if any, pyrazine is present. No oak. (Completely aged in Stainless Steel.) Juicy texture. This wine has a memorable rustic quality. Thanks for the gift, Kase.

Had me fooled: it’s a big un, full of dust & pencil lead, w/ bright acid. Not a great amount of fruit & darker than expected in the glass. Certainly a savory aspect, & sneaky bell pepper ghosts around in the background. It almost clowns the notion of Cabernet Franc, but something steady, noble, grounded keeps it true. You might not guess it blind, but it makes sense anyhow.

Tastes dry with lots of tannins. Needs to aerate and then is pretty good. Smoky

A little light for a cab franc but smoky, dry and easy to drink.
