Bretêche Cabernet Franc

Still good. Bought out the last stock

Franc-ish but elegant. Has the bell pepper, tobacco, soil and lush plum at a real fine 13%abv.

Quite good. Black pepper, very tart fruits, some barnyard, complex acid, chalky tannins. Reminiscent of cool climate syrah.

Feels young still. Not giving much pleasure yet and likely won’t in the first 10 years.

Clean cab franc, beautiful violets and earth

Wet cardboard in the nose, dull, kirschwasser, tired, green

dust and pepper, tart red fruit. lovely

Def need to age, perfect pairing with red and fatty meat. Earthier and more mineral notes

One of the bottles from a recent Old World vs New World cab francs. Clean but not very well balanced. Reminds me of the pencil sharpener in grade school. I’ve been wanting to try more from Loire Valley but this just didn’t do it for me.

Red fruit, pepper. A little young...

Very distinctive start and finish. Fruity acid start that mellows down into slight oakiness.
