Melon De Bourgogne grown just south of Chablis in Vézelay not Muscadet. Nose of stones and green strawberries. Crisp and juicy.

Very elegant, fresh and crispy, one of France best kept secret.

My wine dealer informs me that this was some lesser grape of Burgundy, now being highlighted. Quite good. Lighter than Chardonnay, less citrus than Aligote. Had it w Salade Nicoise but would go w a wide variety of foods.

Nose: when I first sniffed this I smelled apple pie, apples, vanilla and cinnamon. Keep sniffing and drinking and I'm smelling white flowers? Almonds? Coconut? Or maybe honey? Acacia flowers? Not sure if I'm describing this right.

Palate: lots of acid, some salinity and creamy. Kind of reminded me of a Kumamoto oyster. Creamy and briny and sweet.
