Smooth tanin, palate filling cassis, dark berry. Really good, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Was expecting a little more concentration but got a nice easy drinker with good regional character. No problem with that.

Go NOW and roast a chicken so that you can pair it with this wine. It has an absolutely delightful balance of fruit with just enough earthy depth to pick up up the flavors and balance the richness of the roast chicken. If you can also scrounge up a fresh baguette, you are awfully close to heaven. Unless you’re vegan, which I respect.
