Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Morgon Gamay

Smooth tanin, palate filling cassis, dark berry. Really good, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Was expecting a little more concentration but got a nice easy drinker with good regional character. No problem with that.

First hour: finish like Morgon. 2 hours later: wet dog

Wonderful cherry berry aromas and flavors Went very well with elk lingonberry. Medium acidity. Soft aftertaste.

Garden 9/7/2024. Dark, heavy gamay with a touch of smoke and herb oregano?). Acidic, with ripe plum fruit. Long finish. Could it be natural? Just a tad more of reassuring funk. No raspy tanin. Three stages of opening up: rounder, softer over ninety minutes.
