Tasted Blind. Nailed. "Grenache blend, France 2013-2014, south-west, languedoc, corbieres"...boom. Classic Grenache, could be Washington it's so ripe but great acid. Expressive, pepper, red and black fruit, so friggin classic. Originally planted by Marcus Agrippa (Romans) in 25 a.d., chateau built around a thermal spring in the 12th century, same family/same wines since the 1700's. the golden crescent, this is the warmest site in Corbieres and the 14 shows.

Feb 16th, 2017I can recognize that this is good quality, but not really my favorite style of wine. I can see how this could be a crowd pleaser though. Some bottle age might have really benefited this.
