This is a big, loosey-juicy post-Philippe Cambie global warming style. Not my cup of tea but nicely done in its style. Avoids chunky blockiness. Nose has ripe berry fruit, a little crushed stone, and a bit of roasted green herb. Nicely textured and flowing in the mouth. Very fine grained tannins in the background. The 15% alcohol peeks through however.

Not half bad for something I probably bought to cook with and forgot about in a closet for a few years...tastes Grenache-y, with some dry herbal stuff to complement the warm red fruit

Candy apple, red plum, meat, olives, garrigue. Bright fruit with meaty back notes. Easy drinking with pan-roasted lamb chops. Nice enough finish, decent freshness. Sense of weight belies its 14.5% ABV. Good+.

A red apple nose... On the palate, a bit wild here... Cherry, raspberry, green thorns, more of that fleshy, red apple... The wild tannin follows from that... Not much in the way of length, but the finish is all about that red apple skin. Good value.

Lacks balance and precision, the approach seems too hands-off.

Licking the skin of a polished red delicious apple... The tannins have texture here. I think I will seek this out again. Really intriguing.

I was REALLY interested to try this one because although it’s a $20 bottle, it comes from very old vines that are just meters from the border of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. I had heard rumors of Chateau-Rayas-like flavors, and I think it delivers. An interesting mix of cherry and white pepper on the nose with maybe a touch of bergamot. Bursts with flavor in your mouth. Good acidity and well balanced. Tastes more expensive than it is. An undervalued gem.
