Interesting nose of singed plum syrup, licorice, bitter dark chocolate, and hot bricks. Dark, roasted, clingy flavors: dark chocolate, roasted blackberry skins, dark minerals. Loads of somewhat coarse tannin, and very low acidity. Not my cup of tea but doesn't skimp on character. Drink soon.

2010, Domaine de Creve Coeur, Cotes Du Rhone, Grenache blend. A darker more full bodied CDR. Chalky, dusty black fruit with a little red fruit mixed in. Well balanced with good acidity and medium alcohol ( 14.5 ABV). Good drinking with a grilled skirt steak.
