Good potential for cellaring but still a baby right now. Today showing tart red fruits and very green herbaceous character on the mid palate and finish. Surprisingly grainy and dry tannins for such a low alcohol wine, but I think the acid and the mineral presence enhanced my perception of that. A bit angular and disjointed right now but I feel it has enough primary fruit to develop nicely in bottle over the next 3-5 years.

Bummer. At first it smelled like cherries and earth, but then I took a second sniff and it smelled like mold. The palate tastes compromised as well. I've never had much luck with Chinon.
