Vintage 2010 | wow-smell with só many expressions: flint, minerality, cacao, chocolate, rhubarb, vanilla. Off the middle of the road taste with still some tannins, high acidity, not easy, but with leg of lamb it gets a harmony that is satisfying. Ideal luncheonwine, this Trousseau. At restaurant Provence in Zaltbommel.

Ironically ripe @ 13%. It's got a sweetness of fruit worthy of California, which is just not what I look for in Arbois Trousseau. Maybe it just needs some time. It's a nice wine, just less orange and iron and more strawberry and roundness

Less earthy than a typical trousseau but heck any wine that can stand up to eggs, sweet potato fries and Brussels sprouts gets my vote!

2010 - Very pretty nose, almost Pinot like in character with rosé petal and smoke, supremely drinkable, light weight but with some juicy red fruit powering through the finish.

2012 Bright red fruit with a gently smoky perfume. In the mouth this has some grip to it, firm smoky fruit, nice tang on the finish, very fresh.

Pale ruby, warm red fruits, dry, soft tannins, tickle of acidity, bright and juicy  with concentrated fruit, completed by a hint of bitterness on the finish.

Super transparent. elegant and lush at the same time, really balanced. Bing cherry. Not especially aromatic.
