The word that kept coming to mind was “precision”, as in laser-defined layers and puzzle pieces coming together perfectly, cleanly. Ornung. A range of deep and broad red berries, raspberry most prominent. Still obvious tannins, but again perfectly delineated in the 1 minute finish that just lingered. At the very beginning of a drinking window.

Wine #4 from 6 Grand Crus from Morey Saint Denis & Chambolle Musigny. Delectable this is the Comte de Vogue Musigny. Closed Nose at this young age. Also showing restraint on the sweetish palate. Fine tannins. A very long way to go. Showing that little bit extra that defines Musigny. Too early to appreciate how good this will finally be. 95 points now but 98 or 99 in the future.

This is a baby but what a freaking baby it is! Maryland Monroe in sheep’s clothing?? It took at least an hour and a half to develop and sneak up on you but once it did you better check yourself before you wreck yourself. It was amazing! I had a 1990 version of this a few weeks ago and can only imagine what this will develop into. Thank you Jason for turning me onto this blockbuster wine! Love you brother!@Jason Chang
