Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Musigny Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Crystalline candied sour cherry. A fantastic Musigny.

Beautiful! Red and blue berry fruit, darker floral and a touch of brown spice.

Like his ‘01 younger brother, a welcoming nose but with a little more red fruit and more expressive aromatics. A platoon of clean ripe fruit advances along my palate but cannot capture the flag as a wall of tannins push back. Certainly has the concentration for victory but not sure how long it will take to wear those tannins down

Lovely though needs time to soften.

Not in a great place last night.. Very closed, angular. Certainly not the best bottle.. #lapaulee

Thank goodness for friends with cellars.

Tart red cherry and spice, a little rustic on the palate but great on the nose.
