Yellow gold color. A fruit forward nose that grabs your undivided attention. Notes of apricot, pear, tangerine and wet stone. Big, rich and round in the mouth. With air this develops into an amazing perfume. Killer juice. Lots of acidity and structure which grows over the evening. Some noted the amount of oak that comes out in the finish but that characteristic isn't an issue for me. This bottle was youthful and easily had another 10 years in front of it, unlike the last time we had this when the wine was more tired and not as exciting. One of the best Coche I've ever had. And tonight it's the just first of some great whites... (Bday 3 of 13)

Deep straw and medium gold color. Brooding look compared to the other whites. Lemon, baked apples, stone and ripe apricot notes. Had a slight cork taint that came and went over 8+ hours of sips, which detracted from the experience a bit. But the richness and huge mouth feel of this wine was undeniable. From the Don Stott auction. Feeling Cochey.
