Mâcon Loche Chardonnay

2019 vintage. Good concentration, showing a floral, honeyed, tropical side that I don't usually find at this level. Ripe pineapple, juicy apple, honey, cantaloupe, little bit of creme brulee. Very fresh with juicy acidity.

Lemony with high acid and good fruit

Very delicate. White wet stones and lemon pith.

Golden apple, apricot, nectarine, with a lemon zest finish. Fruit forward like the new world, but plenty of terroir and mineral. Lithe and elegant. Delightful.

Wow! I did not expect such a rich, juicy, wine when I bought this Chardonnay. Really expresses the soil minerality, which is usually easier for me to detect in a Sauvignon Blanc. This wine helped strengthen my preference for Burgundy as one of the best white wine regions in the Old World. Was delicious on its own, and would pair wonderfully with roast chicken or turkey.
