Santenay Le Chainey

Lovely with a touch more new world feel than I expected. Bright, with tropical notes, minerality, a nice acidity. Drinking Burgundy in Burgundy is pretty cool.

Pretty thin and simple. Good lean acidity but just not hitting on all cylinders

Medium gold color. Complex nose with caramel, pineapple, toasted nuts, and some citrus/floral tones. But after that, the wine is rather weak and lacks depth and structure. More acidity than I was expecting and no discernible flavors. Short finish. Maybe it needs a few years or my expectations were too high.

Meh. Oakiness and butter typical for a Chardonnay. Just not a fan

Lots of oak and creaminess. Fruit is still there with some citrus, apricot notes though missing some complexity. High acid and medium finish
