A few wines from last week’s 4th Friday event!
I am hit or miss on enjoying Chablis, but this is one of the best I’ve had in recent memory. And so youthful! Flinty, steely, and tightly coiled notes of lemon sherbet, limestone, honeysuckle, minerality on the backbone of ripping acid and pure, energetic fruit. Very good now. Aging glacially. Gorgeous golden straw color, tropical fruit and sealife on the nose. A bit oxidative and even buttery flat on the palate, but still very enjoyable. Great stuff.
