Domaine Chavy-Chouet
Les Narvaux Meursault Chardonnay
Nose is so mineral. Lemony and buttery. But it’s overwhelmingly mineral and scene in the forest. Palate is racy and ripe but has terrific acidity, freshness and cut. Long finish. Juicy and so pure. Really awesome stuff. Wow as this opens the e berg is palpable and the complexity is off the charts. So good. Nice richness on the palate now with a few hours of air.

Aug 19th, 2023Terrific aromas, minerals, butter, some light wood, spicey apples, so complex and wafting. Palate is rich and ripe but with wow wake you up acidity and terrific finesse. Super impressive and long. Lovey complex sinewy fruit and so luscious. Wonderful oak integration and stunning hint of opulence and lovely energy. Superb concentration and just sublime minerality. What a wine. Needs air but 9.5 out of the gates.

Dec 9th, 2021Gorgeous, one of the better Les Narvaux I’ve had. Aromatic, plenty of mid-palate richness balanced by integrated acid and mineral edge. Haven’t had a lot of ‘16s but this is almost striking me as something between the racy and taut 2014s and the rich and flashy 2015s. Time will tell. Nose is poached golden apple, quince, ripe apricots, toasted hazelnuts, apple blossoms, crumbled rock, struck flint. Palate is open knit and downright delicious, matches nose and captures just as much purity.
