Vinsobres Côtes du Rhône Villages Grenache Blend

Earthy with deep ruby color, forest floor and violets on the nose and ripe red and black fruit on the palate. Medium acidity and tannins, medium finish. Very nice, mature Rhône blend

meaty- raw beef not bacon- mineral, forest notes on nose. medium weight and full flavored, reduced boysenberry, ripe bramble fruits, black berry and underlying gaminess distract from silky texture. long tannins. Let this open. sit a day. or two.

This is so gorgeous - intense purple color, ripe black fruit aromas and a beguiling worthiness on the palate. Soft tannins, luscious fruit. I'd anything this almost to ripe, but I'll deal with it. Typical of Vinsobres (relatively high altitude for the Rhône), there is crisp acidity moderating that luscious fruit. Really terrific

An area that produces excellent values a very forward and drinkable vintage

Baked black raspberries, kirsch, pink peppercorn, thin layer of umami-funk, savory meat, black rocks, herbal tingle on the finish. A great wine for the money and enough lift and freshness from the blending varietals to make a complex wine.

The best of N Rhone & S Rhone combined. A textbook example of Red Rhone

Great qpr and more depth than I expected.

Need to come back to grenache blends from southern Rhône. So joyful to drink.

deep purple. overripe fruits on the nose. sweet earthy. mouth: more fruits. really big. great tannins that develop on top of mouth. excellent.
