Hadn’t tasted Audoin in many, many years, so I was genuinely curious to come back to him. This absolutely blew my mind. Incredible fruit purity, lifted and precise without getting precious, and probably the best Fixin I’ve ever had. One of those bottles that makes you sit up a little straighter and recalibrate the whole appellation.

I’m becoming a big fan of this producer. Silky smooth mouthfeel, with elegance to spare. Understated complexity with lovely fruit in evidence.

Generous Pinot. Nice fruit character of a slightly bubble-gummy cherry and banana with highlights of warm spice, mint and stones. Needs a few hours to open but once it does it is pretty and very well balanced. Finish is slightly shorter than I would want but beautiful none the less.

Earthy and flinty, with hints light spices. Nice fruit evens it out.

Whiff of damp wool. Light and earthy on the palate. Our wine at batard.
