The first American sparking wine venture by a French Champagne house (Moet & Chandon), Domaine Chandon has been a leader in sparkling wine production since 1973. In the 90's they started making varietal wines to complement the sparkling wines. Ruby with aromas of dark fruit and spice. On the palate plum and cherry flavors with cinnamon spice and lemon zest. Well balanced wth medium finish ending with spicy tones.

It's very fruity with a little spice. Strawberries and red fruits. Smoked grilled tomatoes. Very ripe with strong yet young tannins. Minimal oak aging.

Raspberry tart and earth. First time I tried. For a blending grape, it was surprisingly pleasant and enjoyable on its own.
