Aerated and decanted but haven't let this sit very long. Nose of unmistakable strawberry, meat, chalk, fennel, fresh rain?, touch of alcohol. Smooth, pretty palate, not too complex, but it is an outstanding Bourgogne. Oct 27th, 2016Needs aeration and a decant, but that helps open this up...once that happens this is pretty, pure. Sweet cherry, definite strawberry, rose, hint of star anise and leaves. Spices show up on the palate, a little stem?, tannins need to calm down some more. Slight heat to the finish. Really good Bourgogne though, just let them sleep for a while longer.
