Just tasted new batch! Pompadour Brut Rosé celebrates the life and times of Madame de Pompadour (mistress of Louis XV) credited with introducing Champagne to the court. Blend of 58% Pinot Noir, 42% Chard, aromas of floral strawberry scents with yeasty notes on fine mousse and bubble flow. On the palate flavors of raspberry and strawberry with vanilla yeasty tones. Well balanced, long ending in true brut style, dry with yeasty mineral character. A joy to drink. Tasting Sample!

This is the vintage rose, a step up from the cuvée pompadour. Still quite young and fresh red fruits burst from the glass as the pinot dominates. It’s balanced by great acidity and a crisp finish that lets the fruit keep shining. These will improve for several more years and should be drinking great a decade in. This was best on night 3 as the fruit profile settled nicely into the rest of the structure.

Nothing like kicking off homemade pizza night with bubbly from Domain Carneros! Enjoyed with Niki Walter Richard Arthur Shannon & Ray at our place in Palo Alto! Perfect balance of dry with hints of strawberry. So fun - artichoke bruschetta sauce, vodka sauce & regular red sauce pizzas with lots of veggies & some sausage - something for everyone! Great company to celebrate deal commitments this week!
