Enjoyed a lot, would like to try another wine from Calot from a more classic vintage. This was dark, concentrated, almost a touch hot but nothing offensive. Black brambly fruit, violets, crushed rock, graphite, herbs. Wanted more complexity on the palate but given the 2015 vintage I’m not surprised by the “monolithic” nature of this wine. Found the aromas effusive and pretty. Will try again.
