Served with the famous basque panchinettas, almond custard on small puff pastry rolls. I liked that it had good acidity and was not teeth chilling sweet.

Baked apple and apricot, quince, butterscotch, achieves great richness without being too syrupy, no noticeable botrytis

Baked apple & cider, butterscotch, yeast, cacao nose. Lively effervescence, caramel, brioche, medium acid, and nice underripe apple. This wine definitely has a chunky / chewy texture that explodes ok the palate. Sweet raisinated quality that delivers an oxidative sweetness, with a flash of light baking spice. Delightfully floral on the palate: elderflower / gardenia - sweet, fresh, white flowers.

Great with liver, foie, terrines, apple pie ala mode.

Sweet and astringent like a port but not as heavy

Might be my first gros manseng exp. Not a fan of this style generally but this was respectable thx mike.
