Little cherry, little weedy out of the gates. Tree bark. Licorice. Rustic nose. Palate is juicy but drying but with nice fruit and grip. Good finish. A charmer. I think it needs an hour open.

Tastes like a Pinot Noir grown in limestoney soil impersonating a basic old school cru bourgeois Bordeaux. Nose is lifted and savory, with cool scents of dried fall leaves. Palate is minerally and pure, but transitions quickly to loads of that dry twigs flavor I associate with mid-quality Bordeaux back in the cooler temp days of the 70s. Interesting still but heading toward old age.

Really nice lighter styled PN. Fragrant ripe crisp cherries along with a wet limestony earthiness. Light in weight but with good flavor intensity and balance. Lots of stony Chablis- like minerality. A bit of chalky, soft tannin and excellent acidity provide structure. Drinking well now and will certainly keep for several more years. Nice for the price!

Lovely aromas and great deep floral and savory aromas. Big and tannic and very rustic with dazzling purity and freshness. Needs food but a pleasant rustic French country wine.

Lovely aromas and very berry and very 2008. Nervy and intense. Silkier texture. Lovely tannins. Still a very nice structure. Amazing tannins and very juicy.

Pine on the nose. Great deep cherry fruit. Juicy. Lovely finish. Why did we stop selling this ? Oh yeah. No one has heard of coulanges la vineuse. Bought from Fass Selections. ... detecting some lovely licorice. This is burgundy but very different. It deserves a place in the cellar.

Nice berry fruit. Fairly rustic and chalky tannins. A bit of spice but wood not noticeable. A bit tough to drink at the moment.
