Madiran Tannat

This bottle had aged beautifully. The new oak is well integrated, with hints of spice and vanilla almost a suggestion after the melange of currants, berries and cherries amongst the black earth. Balanced acid and tannin, with a hint of VA. Drank with braised beef neck soup with noodles and seared bok choy for Christmas.
