After being stored on its side in cellar conditions for the last 6 years, this cork fell apart upon opening. The wine is excessively oaked, to the point where I struggled to find fruit. The wine also lacks acid, and has a shockingly short finish considering the persistence of the nose. It stood up well to a spicy mac'n'cheese with turkey after being open 24 hrs, mainly bc the fruit came out and stood up to the savory flavors. Overall, this wine is difficult to take as pinot noir with almost all varietal characteristics muted by the new oak. Not for me. — 10 years ago

Berry fruit and cherries, tons of aroma, with an undertone of bergamot eathiness. Palate is complex and long, with acid and tannin both standing out. Serious dolcetto. Great to accompany carbonara — 10 years ago
This bottle had aged beautifully. The new oak is well integrated, with hints of spice and vanilla almost a suggestion after the melange of currants, berries and cherries amongst the black earth. Balanced acid and tannin, with a hint of VA. Drank with braised beef neck soup with noodles and seared bok choy for Christmas. — 10 years ago

Cooked bramble fruit, white and red cherries, earthy log on the nose, but chalk and limestone on the palate. Pyrizenes are pretty with an herbaceous quality amongst everything else that's happening here. Pretty and floral as well. The tannins grip, but are not coarse; acid persists. Finish is spot on. — 10 years ago
2014 wine! Saturated, vibrant color with a hearty smack of pyrizenes. Tasty and concentrated. — 10 years ago
