Brézé Cuvee Viticole Saumur Cabernet Franc

Lovely fresh Cab Franc, with tomato leaf 🍃 in your face.

Bright, clean , drinks youthful. No pyrazines to speak of. Maybe in a slightly dumb/closed phase. Will revisit tomorrow. Edit/ day two, now it’s expressive. Pyrazines coming through. This is a delicate wine. Versatile with food. Excellent purity. 

Very light, not sweet

Tasted as a traditional Cabernet Franc. The magic happened as I kept it open for 7 days and tasted over time. It got more intense with days, and finally on day 7 (last glass) it was very tannic, still full of lush fruits (blackberry, baked cherry) and with a healthy dose of acid.

Lemony

Lots of green like bell pepper, then more fruit as it opened up.

I have a bias rating viticole wine... love each and every bottle.
